Limitation of Consular Services

Taking into consideration the evolving global situation and high risk associated with COVID-19, the consular services offered by the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Canberra will be limited to following consular services, until further notice.

  • Issuance of Emergency Travel Document for Sri Lankan Citizens
  • Issuance of Certificates related to death of Sri Lankan National
  • Any other emergency services considered necessarily
  • Urgent inquiries regarding COVID-19 pandemic

 

The above Consular services will be extended to Sri Lankan nationals during 9.00 am to 5.00pm on week days.

Moreover, in case of emergency, Sri Lankan nationals could reach us on 24 hour hotline number 0492416141.

The Sri Lankan High Commission in Canberra would like to keep in touch with Sri Lankans and persons of Sri Lankan origin living in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and other Pacific Islands as well as Sri Lankan community organisations in those countries.
