Sri Lankan Communities in Australia and New Zealand Commemorate 3rd Anniversary of the end of war

Sri Lankan Communities living in Australia and New Zealand organized number of religious events on 19th May to commemorate the third anniversary of the end of the conflict that gripped the country for three decades and dawn of Honourable peace to the entire country and all citizens under the flag.

The event in the capital of Australia was held at the Sri Lanka Buddhist Vihara in Canberra with the participation of H.E. Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe . Events were also held in other states such as Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth where there is large concentration of Sri Lankan community.

Event in New Zealand was held in Wellington with the participation of Mr. Aruna Abeygunasekara, Hony. Consul for Sri Lanka in New Zealand,.
