The Sri Lanka High Commission in Canberra, Australia provides Consular services such as services relating to Passports, visas, Registration of Births etc to persons residing in Australia and other concurrently accredited countries which include New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Island and Vanuatu.
With the opening of new Sri Lanka Consulate General office in Melbourne in Victoria all consular services has been further streamlined and carried out under the overall supervision and Guidance of the High Commission in Canberra.
Accordingly all requests for Consular services form those residing in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania should be addressed to the Consulate General office in Melbourne and those residing in New South Wales and Queensland should be addressed to the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Sydney in future.

The Sri Lanka High Commission in Canberra will provide extended Consular Services on Saturdays upon request. For Security reasons, please make an appointment prior to visiting the High Commission on Saturdays.
